The test of Punjabi Language (Part-I) for posts ALM, ASSA & Electrician Grade-II (Group-C Posts) will consist of 50 objective type questions (MCQ) and shall be mandatory qualifying test and failure to secure minimum of 50% marks (i.e. 25 marks) in Knowledge of Punjabi Language test(Part-I) will disqualify the candidate for being considered in the final merit list of candidates to be selected for document checking irrespective of their scores or marks obtained in Part-II of the online test.
All the multiple-choice questions of Part-I will carry one mark for each correct answer and there will be no negative marking.
Part-II of Online exam will be bilingual (English/Punjabi) except “Punjabi Language Knowledge” exam questions which will be only in Punjabi Language.
Part-II question paper will consist of 100 objective type questions (MCQ). All the multiple-choice questions of Part-II will carry one mark for each correct answer and there will be negative marking for a wrong answer 0.25 (1/4th) of the marks allotted for correct answer.
The exam would be of 3 hours (180 minutes) duration.
The merit list of candidates for Group-‘C’ posts, who qualifies in Part-I shall be prepared on the basis of marks scored only in Part-II online test and only those candidates shall be considered in MERIT LIST who scores minimum qualifying marks in Part-I i.e. “Qualifying test of Punjabi Language Knowledge”.
(i) Passed 10th or its equivalent examination and obtained National Apprenticeship Certificate in Trade of L.M.
(ii) Candidates who have passed higher education such as Diploma/Degree in Electrical Engineering will be considered only if they have National Apprenticeship Certificate in the trade of L.M. as a minimum qualification.
Assistant Sub-Station Attendant (ASSA)
ITI Pass in Electrical/Electrician/Wireman Trade with minimum 60% marks (Full time regular course) and one year apprenticeship experience. OR
Diploma in Electrical/Electronics & Communication/Instrumentation & Process Control with 60% marks (Full time regular course).
Electrician Grade-II
Matriculation along with regular ITI in any branch of Electrical discipline with minimum 60% marks. OR
Diploma in Electrical Engineering with minimum 50% marks.
